About Our Lavender Co.
We are the mother-daughter trio that makes up Our Lavender Co (from left to right: Stephanie, Peggy & Nicole!)
Nicole & I grew up on a fourth generation family farm near the Nebraska/Colorado boarder where we spent our summer days tending to mom's backyard vegetable garden or helping dad with all 2000 acres of irrigated corn. You could say farming is part of our DNA!
I met my husband Josh (lovingly known as our Chief of Irrigation :) after college while living in Minnesota. When we started our family, we decided to move back to the farm to give our children that same gift of growing up helping mom & dad tend the soil and produce a harvest!
Our Lavender Co was birthed in 2019. After my second child was born, like so many other women, I experienced the heavy weight of postpartum depression (PPD). There were days when it took everything I had not to call it quits, but my beautiful family rallied around me and encouraged me to start doing things I loved. So in the spring of 2018, I started gardening again. God used the simplicity of growing flowers to bring me back to life. One year later, my mom, sister and I convinced our dad (OLC’s biggest cheerleader and the OG farmer) to rent us 5 acres of land so we could start growing lavender on a larger scale!
Since then, we’ve learned a lot about how to help lavender thrive in our climate, we launched our online shop full of clean, organic lavender goods, and we opened a small storefront on our farm where people can come and experience our lavender farm first hand!
Over the last three years, we’ve shipped orders to all 50 states and have had thousands of people tour our farm and visit our shop! There’s nothing like walking through rows of blooming lavender while sipping on a cool glass of lavender lemonade! Or opening a package that fills your home with the peaceful fragrance of lavender grown on our farm!
